GRANT, William "Bill" Mathew, Sr. William Mathew "Bill" Grant, Sr.,
64, of Vernon entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, (June 11, 2007). He
was born on July 1, 1942, in Rockville to the late Richard and
Edna (Tyler) Grant.
He grew up in Vernon. After attending Rockville High School, William
joined the United States Army and served from July 2, 1964 until August
13, 1966 as a Military Policeman. While in the Army he received his
National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. William
worked at Apollo Molding for sixteen years, and for the last several years
has worked at Manchester Molding. William has been a lifetime member
of the Kosciuszko Club in Rockville for the last forty-three years, and has
also been a member of the American Legion for forty-three years.

He is survived by his ex-wife Susan Grant of Rockville, his brother and
sister-in-law Timothy and Deb Grant of Rockville, his son and
daughter-in-law William Mathew Grant, Jr. and Elizabeth Fernandez of
Enfield, his daughter and son-in-law Ann Walsh and Thomas Shea of
Coventry, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Joseph Michaud
of Dover, ME, and seven grandchildren; Zachary, Jacquie, Veronica,
Jeffrey, Xavier, Savannah, and Nicholas. The family would give a special
thank you to William's good friend, Steven Moren. A funeral service
celebrating William's life will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 7 p.m.
at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville with visiting
hours from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service with military
honors will be held on Friday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Cemetery,
