Stephen Lucas Tyler Stephen Lucas Tyler, 19, of Norman, formerly of McAlester, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, in Norman.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with the Rev. Felix Waller and the Rev. Charles Kerley officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. He was born Jan. 25, 1990, in McAlester. He grew up here and graduated from McAlester High School in 2008.He was baptized at the New Covenant Fellowship Church and later attended the King's House Church. He had been a member of Boy Scout Troop 441 in Krebs where he earned his Eagle Scout badge.He was an avid outdoorsman. He dedicated his time and love to his nieces and nephews.He recently took his oath with the United States Army and was to report for duty on July 27.He was very proud of his Native American heritage with the Cheyenne Tribe. Survivors include his mother, Catherine Tyler, Colorado Springs, Colo.; father, George Tyler, Baton Rouge, La.; brothers and sisters, Christopher Tyler and his wife, Valerie, and their daughter, Reilly, Huntsville, Ala., Julia Oxley and Dewey II Oxley, of Sulphur, and their children, Chad, Kyler and Noah, Michael Tyler and his wife, Jaclyn, and their children, Joclynn and Owen, Purchase, N.Y., Rachael Tyler, of Norman, Samantha Tyler, of Ada, and Savanna Tyler, Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandmother, Gisela Cansino and her husband, David, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Allison Bringinggood and Minnie Moses, and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold Tyler and Jeannette Tyler, and his maternal grandfather, James Walters.Pallbearers will be Aaron Radke, David Grantham, Michael Radosevich, John Mitchell, Bradon Brown, Jordan James and Brice Carlock.Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Oxley, Kyler Oxley, Noah Oxley and Owen Tyler.
