|Gladys Marion (Tyler) Thompson, 92, entered into eternal rest on
Saturday, October 4, 2008, at
Woodpecker Hill, Greene, R.I.
Born in Sterling, Ct., she was the daughter of the late Edward and
Henrietta (Murray) Tyler.
Gladys was raised in Sterling.
On June 19, 1937, she was married to Frank Thompson, who
predeceased her in 1986. They resided in Greene, R.I.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings: Walter L.
Tyler, Edward A. Tyler, Arthur W. Tyler, Alice A. (Tyler) Brown, Clara
B. (Tyler) Bohle, Mildred Tyler, Etta (Tyler) Rose, Howard Tyler
and Edna (Tyler) Grant.
Gladys leaves behind her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law,
Lee and Shirley (Thompson) Crowder of Greene, R. I.; her
grandchildren, Judy (Hall) Hynes, Coventry, CT., Leah (Hall) Vitiaz,
Kirkland, Wa., and Scott Hall, Lisbon Falls, Me.; three
great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and
nephews; dear friends, Marilyn and Priscilla Burton;
and her buddy, Red.
There are no visitation hours, and funeral arrangements will be private at
the discretion of the family. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery,
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gladys' name to the
American Diabetes Association.
